Judikins!
I had the pleasure a few weeks ago of spending time with Judy Watanabe of Judikins at the Heirloom Rubber Stamp convention in Novi! This is the third year I have had the opportunity to learn from her demos at her product booth. She is gracious as well as creative and I absolutely LOVE her inking and stamping techniques. One product that definitely needs mentioning is her MicroGlaze. MicroGlaze is a product that protects your paper art from water. You take a bit of it and rub it on to your paper then buff to a shine. Most use it after working with ink but I wanted to use it after coloring with my Prismacolor pencils. I colored a cute digital stamp bug but wanted to color the background with shimmer spray. So I applied the MicroGlaze with a fine-tipped paint brush and my fingers on the bug only. Afterwards I sprayed the image with Glimmer Mist and low and behold my image resisted the water-based spray! It also did not disturb my coloring with the Prismacolor pencils. Here are pics of the process and a photo of me and Judy.

My Memories Suite Digital Scrapbooking and Giveaway!
Hello, all! Recently I was introduced to My Memories Suite digital scrapbooking software. Being the traditionalist that I am, I have always preferred the hands-on use of the tons of scrapbooking products to create physical photo albums. I've tried digital scrapbooking programs in the past but never had a real use for it. But I'm also a tech-savvy person and enjoy creating posters, flyers and such for my papercraft classes. So I was thinking, "How could using digital scrapbooking software benefit me and suit my scrapbooking needs?" Well, as my family has grown up and nieces and nephews have their own families, I have found the best way to communicate with them, share photos and still be creative is using digital scrapbooking software. This is where My Memories Suite comes in. I have found it to be the most user-friendly and feature-rich program I have tried on the market. You can print at home, prepare your albums for professional printing, or share them as multi-media presentations-even to be shared on an iPod. You can include narration, music and include hotspot links to web-sites or other files. Its many creative features suit many styles and occasions. The page you see below is of my niece, Jada that I will send to her parents as an iPod-ready file. Their page will include background music it is a multi-media file. From start to finish it took about 10 minutes. As a thank you to all who read my blog, I am offering a discount code for $10 off the purchase of the software and $10 coupon for the store. That's a $20 value! Use the code STMMMS40669 and visit http://mymemories.com/ to purchase and redeem your coupon! Also as a bonus, I am giving away a free copy of the software to a lucky person who visits the site and leaves a comment on my page telling me your favorite digital paper pack. The winner will be randomly chosen. It's that easy! I will email the winner with the code for their free My Memories Suite. The winner will be announced the week of August 20th.
